It’s just ‘what the holistic doctor ordered’ or to be accurate, for anyone searching for meditation products and guidance on how to meditate. Even watching the changing calming images on the front page provoked a mental tranquility that set the scene for searching the retailing delights of this site.

The www.House-of-Meditation.com has a good selection of products whether you’re looking for meditation machines, guided meditations or relaxing music to soothe the body and mind. Plus some excellent books for those rainy, cold days when all you want is a hot drink and some good reading.

There’s featured artists such as Tim Wheater. Listen to some of his music and chants by clicking on the MP3 player, so you can listen before you buy. I like that feature, often means I buy the item.

If you’re looking to hear what the Gayatri mantra sounds like and learn more about this most ancient chant there’s a link to the blog www.house-of-meditation.com/Blog/files/b57cf6367af911f1664a0551b11aa2e9-0.html I’ve been practicing it regularly especially when preparing meals and driving in the car (I can be as loud as I like then and off-key!). Personally I think it adds a certain higher quality and respect for the food. Try it out for yourself.

Great to see the benefits of meditation highlighted, Linzi. Its difficult to convey to people just how greatly we can all benefit from meditation in this hectic world. Thoroughly recommended!

I consider that meditation in our diverse and active world can be more than sitting in reflection. Whilst walking around a shopping centre someone can adopt a meditative attitude or demeanour. I’m sure this will support better decision making and clearing thinking, with a calmness extended to all that we meet. I’ll try this out as I visit Bluewater shopping centre today especially as I’m checking out the ‘quiet room’ thats available for people. Will put a blog up on this with photos.
